Grant Application Process

Verify Eligibility:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, unit of government or public school district.
  • Serve the people who live and/or work within the physical boundaries of ISD 578.
  • Have a project that fits within our funding priorities.

Grant Deadlines:

  • The spring grants open on February 1st. Deadline for submission is March 31st. Projects submitted for consideration during this round should not begin earlier than May 15th.
  • The fall grants open on July 1st. Deadline for submission is August 31st. Projects submitted for consideration during this round should not begin earlier than October 15th.

Using the Online Grant System

Once you’ve confirmed that your project fits within the guidelines, you can use the Initiative Foundation’s online grant system to create an account, complete an eligibility quiz, submit inquiries and proposals, review your application history and submit grant reports.
